Math applications in the technical workplace, including number sense, measurement, geometry, and algebra. Other applied math topics will be chosen for program-specific projects.

  • Apply mathematical principles to the technical workplace.
  • Understand and apply the relationship between percentages, decimals and fractions.
  • Understand and apply measurements and unit conversions.
  • Compute area and volume of regular and irregular shapes.
  • Solve, graph and interpret linear equations and inequalities.
Prerequisites

Placement or completion of MATH 92 with 2.0 grade or better.
