Apprentices will relate the basic cycle of refrigeration to various HVACR equipment. They will plot enthalpy charts to troubleshoot proper operation of equipment. They will be introduced to the electrical concepts of induction, impedance and capacitance. They will interpret electrical symbols in schematics to draw basic wiring diagrams, including installation and pictorial views. They will continue trades-related math by demonstration competency in measuring using calculators, formulas, and tape measures. They will continue building brazing skills by following the braze progression sheet, and completing a T-square. They will demonstrate consistent and safe application of OSHA and WAC rigging rules when working on rooftops. Finally, they will be introduced to basic oxy-fuel welding.
