Apprentices will complete timed assessments showing competency with compressors, economizers, VFD, and automation systems, including applying job planning and sales/estimation skills to these projects. They will demonstrate competency in a variety of light commercial, commercial and specialty refrigeration system brazes, including attainment of the UA 51 Certification. Apprentices in the refrigeration pathway will complete a cumulative review of supermarket equipment concepts and maintenance/repair practices. Apprentices in the HVAC pathway will complete a cumulative review of air conditioning equipment concepts and maintenance/repair practices.
