Enrollment Steps
Step 1: Apply for Admission to Bates Technical College
- Complete the Online Admission Application.
- If you are applying to Technical High School or Running Start, select the Running Start option on the application.
- Apply for financial aid. Visit our website for more information on financial aid.
- Military service members and dependents planning to use Tuition Assistance (TA) must receive ESO or counselor approval before enrolling.
Step 2: Complete your English and Math College Placement
Your placement helps you and your advisor decide which classes you can take to reach your goals. There are two basic ways to complete Math and English placement requirements. You need to complete one of the options below before you can continue to Step 3 and meet with your advisor to enroll in classes. To get started, complete the self-guided placement for Math and/or English to assess your current skills.

Step 3: Enroll in Classes with your Advisor
New students are required to meet with their advisor to register for classes for their first quarter.
Before your appointment, you must complete the Student Financial Responsibility Agreement (SFRA).
