This is the second quarter of the biology majors sequence. This course is appropriate for students on biology, pre-health, and related science pathways. Topics include evolution, animal diversity, development, anatomy, and physiology.

- Students explain evolutionary principles and apply them to the diversity of animal life.
- Students compare and contrast major animal taxa in terms of structure, function, and development.
- Students describe physiological systems and explain how they support organismal function.
- Students analyze relationships between structure and function across animal systems.

- Students communicate concepts in evolution and organismal biology using appropriate scientific language.
