This course is designed to introduce students to single and multivariable calculus concepts in the context of business and economics. Topics include limits, continuity, derivates, antiderivatives, integrals, and applications.

Outcomes
  • Apply, solve, interpret, and communicate mathematical models in context of business and economics.
  • Evaluate limits and continuity of a function.
  • Evaluate first and second derivatives of several function types.
  • Understand and apply features of derivatives using tangent lines, graph features, and use this information to solve applied optimization problems in business and economics.
  • Evaluate and apply antiderivates and integrals to solve applied problems.
  • Evaluate functions of several variables and calculate and evaluate partial derivatives.
