STMF 121: Steamfitter Year 2 Week 1

Apprentices will gain increasing knowledge of hydronic and steam system components, such as system circuits, loops, VFDs and valves, and how scientific principles apply to the uses and installations of these parts. They will practice isometric drawings, and learn how to convert a three-dimensional orthographic projection into isometric representation. Apprentices will begin use of oxyacetelyne torches to cut and weld pipe, as well as complete simple repair tasks.
