Students are introduced to the general duties of the medical assistant profession in the health care setting. This is the second course in a series of two. This course provides instruction in administrative office procedures, as well as providing exercises in judgment, independent action, and coping with interruptions. Examples, explanations, and illustrations refer to medical material and situations. The increased importance of other new technology in the medical office is emphasized throughout. This course will include simulation projects throughout.
