The Associate in Biology Direct Transfer Agreement/Major Related Program (DTA/MRP) prepares students for transfer to four-year institutions to pursue bachelor’s degrees in biology or related science fields. This degree combines general education with a focused sequence of coursework in biology, chemistry, and mathematics to support success in upper-division study.
Students who complete this program typically transfer with junior standing and have met most lower-division general education and major prerequisite requirements. Because transfer and admission requirements vary by institution and program, students are encouraged to plan early and work with an advisor to select appropriate courses.
Graduates are prepared to continue into bachelor’s degree programs leading to careers in areas such as biological sciences, healthcare, environmental studies, and related fields.
